How to fix my reverse stitch?
I’ve not had a problem with my Singer 7442 until today. My reverse stitch looks like the top tension is loose, but when I tighten the tension it doesn’t fix the problem. It is only when I reverse stitch. What’s wrong?
The tension was alright when you where sewing, so there should not be an issue with the backstitch unless you ran out of bobbin thread.
Check the maintenance section of the manual (page 62) and do the recommended cleaning and oiling.
