Pearl Export Drums, What Are The Best Heads?

i have just bought a second hand Pearl Export Drum kit. The guy who had it before me kept the pearl heads it came with ,not ideal i know. What are the best heads for Pearl Snares, toms and bass drum batter side, remo or evans. and what range of these on batter and resonant side. i want to really get the best out of these drums ,it’ll be a long time before i can afford anymore.

Tom Batters: Evans G2 Coated, Remo Coated Emperor or Aquarian Response 2 Texture Coated. All those are virtually the same. Evans’ are louder, Remo has a vintage sound, Aquarians are the most durable.

Tom Reso’s – Evans G1 Clear, Remo Ambassador Clear, Aquarian Classic Clears. All virtually the same, I play Aquarians because they’re cheaper for the resos

Bass Batter – Aquarian Super Kick 2 Clear. Flat out the greatest bass drum batter head out there right now.

Bass Reso – Evans EQ3. Comes in Black, white or ported.

Depending on what year your exports are made, you may want to invest in some Aquarian Studio rings. They’ll make the Drum Set sound fantastic if its the mix wood shelled Pearls.
