Is there a way to muffle cymbals and drums using ordinary things from home?

I feel like an idiot wanting to rock out in the middle of the night. But I really want to play my drums late at night but I’d end up waking family and neighbors. Other than that, I’ve been looking for ways to muffle my drums and cymbals just for the hell of it. Is there anything I can put on my cymbals and drums OTHER than tape? Thanks guys.
